Massachusetts USA Wrestling 7th Annual IRONMAN Wrestling Tournament on May 21-23rd, 2010 Friday: Takedown / Saturday: Freestyle / Sunday: Folkstyle Pre-Tournament Clinics on Saturday and Sunday. Massachusetts USA Wrestling presents the 7th Annual “IRONMAN SERIES” open to all ages. Champions will be determined by the outcome of three tournaments wrestled on Friday May 21st, Saturday May 22nd, and Sunday May 23rd at a Wadsworth Wrestling Club, 40 Kenwood Circle, Franklin, MA. The top two (2) Massachusetts wrestlers in each weight class in the CADET/JUNIOR & GIRLS division qualify to wrestle on the MA Cadet/Junior National Team that will travel to the USA CADET/JUNIOR NATIONALS (the biggest wrestling tournament in the WORLD). Wrestlers win the IRONMAN title by having the highest combined score of the three tournaments. Wrestlers must compete in at least 2 of 3 tournaments to qualify for the IRONMAN title. Scores of all tournaments wrestled will be used to determine the IRONMAN Champion. Massachusetts High School Wrestlers who place top 2 in the IRONMAN will be applicable for financial assistance ($250) toward their trip to the '10 USA Wrestling National Championships in Fargo North Dakota. Conditions do apply. Medals will be awarded to the top three place finishers of each individual tournament. MONSTROUS TROPHIES will again be presented to the TOP finisher in each weight class of the OPEN, HIGH SCHOOL, and KIDS division of the “IRONMAN SERIES.” Wrestlers score points by placing top 5 in the individual tournaments. The point scoring system will be tracked according to the chart below. Wrestling will take place on 4 mats. Matches will be wrestled in three, 1.5-minute periods starting from neutral.May 21st Tournament - Takedown: 1st place – 5pts, 2nd place – 4pts, 3rd place – 3pts, 4th place – 2ptsMay 22nd Tournament - Freestyle: 1st place – 7pts, 2nd place – 6pts, 3rd place – 5pts, 4th place – 2ptsMay 23rd Tournament - Folkstyle: 1st place – 9pts, 2nd place – 8pts, 3rd place – 7pts, 4th place – 2ptsWeigh-ins will take place from 3PM-5PM on Friday, May 21, 2010. Wrestlers only weigh-in only once. Weigh-ins for wrestling competing in individual tournaments will take place on Saturday and Sunday morning from 7-8AM. Wrestling will begin at approximately 6PM Friday night.
If you are only attending a single day, you weigh-in on that day. Once you weigh-in, you do not need to weigh-in again. You can mail your registration with a check or you can register online.
Concessions and shirts will be on sale. All wrestlers must have a USA Wrestling Card to compete. Cost per individual tournament will be $30/tournament. Admission to the series will be $5 for children and $10 for adults. Admission is for all three days of the event. DAY OF REGISTRATION $90/series with up to date USA membership or SAVE $30 PRE-REGISTRATION $60/series with up to date USA membership Pre-register available. All competitors must have USA Wrestling Cards. Cards will be available on site for $30.

The weight classes are misleading, There will be brackets for all weight classes in all divisions. If anyone else is planning on going please send me an email.
