What's new in USA wrestling?

Tatiana Padilla, a member of both the U.S. Women’s World Team and the U.S. Junior World Team, won the 130-pound title at the Canada Cup in July. Padilla defeated two-time Olympic medalist Tonya Verbeek of Canada, 6-1, 1-0, in the finals. Padilla was joined by teammates in claiming gold medals. Elena Pirozhkova (138.75 pounds) and Stephany Lee (158.5 pounds), also from the Women’s World Team, won titles. Helen Maroulis (121 pounds), another Junior World Team member, also won.
